The silversmith abandoned his tools
Left his hammer in the old shed
Designated his infant boy to carry on in his stead

Never said a word to his boy
Left his lovely wife
No one knew why til they opened up the door and shone in the light

His wife felt the fool
It was right before her eyes
Never saw the writing on the walls she had come to despise

Looking at the works he left
Marks of a shaky hand
Shame filled her face and she fled into the never ending sand.

The boy lived with kin
Shot fire from his eyes
His auntie never said his pa’s name or how he had died

He lived life with his fists
Struck out in his pain
At any poor boy who ever called him that vulgar name

The boy became a man
Hardened by his scorned dad
Became a fighter and took out his rage on the past he never had

They said why his dad was gone
Had a demon in his hands
Signed a pact with the devil boy why is that so hard to understand

Your pa must have lived with sin
Probably cheated on your ma
Would have sold you into slavery at the first chance you saw

Now his demon runs in your blood
Gives power to your fists
